Premium Sharetribe marketplace for classical menswear and accessories, successfully migrated from Sharetribe GO to Flex with zero data loss.
A little backstory: You might spot Vulpilist in other Sharetribe agencies' portfolios too — and rightfully so! We were the original team that transitioned Vulpilist from Sharetribe GO to Sharetribe Flex (back when they were separate platforms, before merging into today's unified Sharetribe) and built their Flex foundation from the ground up. After the marketplace was later acquired by new founders, they continued growing it with help from several other talented agencies in the Sharetribe community. It's wonderful to see a project evolve and bring more great people on board along the way!
The Challenge
Vulpilist was running on the older Sharetribe GO platform and needed to migrate to the more flexible and customizable Sharetribe Flex (now just called Sharetribe). The main challenges were:
- Preserving all existing user data and marketplace history
- Maintaining zero downtime during the migration process
- Implementing new features not available in Sharetribe GO
- Ensuring a seamless transition for existing users
- Modernizing the design while maintaining brand identity
